STEP 1: GET YOUR PTIN
First & most importantly you’ll need to enroll with the IRS and obtain a PTIN (personal tax identification number) A PTIN is required in order to prepare tax returns.
Visit www.irs.gov/ptin to apply. (all links will open a new window/tab)

The IRS identifies you by the last tax return they have on file for you. When entering your name and address, it must match that information exactly. There will be another section for you to enter your current address if it differs from that of your last return.
Select 'NO' for the self employed question
Only fill out required fields. If it doesn't have the * symbol, then don't fill it out
Enter your current address for Business address
There is a $39.95 fee the IRS charges so have your payment ready
STEP 2: GET SET UP
Click ENROLL NOW to begin creating your very own Financial Services Company
On this page you will complete the following steps.

1. Enter your info and create a username (middle name is not required)
2. Create a subdomain name. This will be the link to your website
3. Enter your email, d.o.b, phone, and social
4. Leave returning store owner field blank. You're new right?
5. If you have an EIN that you wish to use, enter it. If not no worries, it's not required
6. Enter the PTIN number you've just acquired
7. Click Submit
You'll be sent a token/one time password for registration and you'll only have 2 minutes to enter it so have your email handy
8. Select FREE package and submit
9. Check your email. You'll receive an account activation email link to create a password and you're done!
STEP 3: BOOK YOUR 'GETTING STARTED' CALL
30-minute introduction call for new Tax Stores with Shamis to formally introduce herself, learn more about you, your needs and goals. We'll get you familiar your ready made website and back office, get your new Tax Business officially launched and go over any questions you may have. Book here
